November 9, 2019 Eat Your Art Out

Eat Your Art Out is the annual fundraising event for OV-CAOS. This year the event takes place November 9, at the Killaloe Lions Club.  Krysta Kentfield and I will be designing and showcasing 2 fashion pieces, Loud to Quiet. El Spooner will model my empty nest tribute to my children Charlie and John.

EYAO began in 2015 as a way to address the sometimes difficult transition from autumn into winter during the month of November. We celebrated and honoured November by hosting a six-course meal, artfully designed by local cooks using local ingredients. Each course was accompanied by music, costume and poetry. Since 2015, this annual event has expanded into a full bodied, multi-media extravaganza of astonishing collaboration and creativity.

In 2019 we will be returning to our original concept of celebrating the month of November by exploring the concept of transition as our main focus. The six courses will be cocktails and finger food, plus the spotlight will be on a fashion show featuring wearable artwork accompanied by sound pieces.

Over-arching Concept: the transition from autumn to winter
Subthemes: water to ice, light to dark, colour to monochrome, external to internal, warm to cold, loud to quiet.
